- • Phase I clinical trial for non-Hodgkin lymphoma and renal cell carcinoma
Description
SGN-75 is a humanized anti-CD70 monoclonal antibody
attached to a potent, synthetic drug payload, monomethyl
auristatin F (MMAF) utilizing Seattle Genetics'
proprietary antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology.
CD70 is expressed on a variety of solid tumors,
including renal cell carcinoma, pancreatic, ovarian and lung
cancer, as well as multiple myeloma and several types of
non-Hodgkin lymphoma. CD70 has limited expression on
normal tissue making it an ideal candidate for ADC
therapy.
Status
We initiated a phase I clinical trial of SGN-75 in
November 2009 to evaluate its safety, tolerability,
pharmacokinetic profile and antitumor activity. The trial
is enrolling patients with relapsed or refractory
non-Hodgkin lymphoma or metastatic
renal cell carcinoma. In preclinical studies, SGN-75
demonstrated potent antitumor activity in models of
CD70-positive renal cell carcinoma and hematologic
malignancies.
