SGN-75

Description

SGN-75 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) utilizing Seattle Genetics' auristatin-based ADC technology. It consists of a humanized anti-CD70 monoclonal antibody attached by a non-cleavable linker to a derivative of the highly potent class of cell-killing drugs called Auristatins. The ADC binds to the CD70 antigen expressed on target cells, undergoes rapid internalization and then releases active drug from the antibody carrier inside the cell.

Development Rationale

CD70 is expressed in high density in kidney cancer as well as some types of hematologic malignancies, but has limited expression on normal tissue making it an ideal candidate for ADC therapy. We have shown in preclinical studies that SGN-75 is highly effective and well tolerated in preclinical models of human renal cancer and hematologic malignancies.
